I always enjoy reading his articles in the Chronicle. That route is one of the most beautiful areas of the Sierra's. One nice wrinkle is to go cross country at the most western part of Garnett and over to 1000 Island Lake and then back out. Amazing country!! Nice shout out to Tom.
